Type of visa:
Madagascar offers E-visa to most countries. This electronic visa is issued beforehand unlike a visa- on-arrival that needs to be stamped on your passport once you arrive.
Application process:

- Start filling out the visa application. Fill your personal details, passport details, etc.
- You will have to upload a recent coloured photograph (requirements mentioned below)
- Upload all the required documents (mentioned below)
- Double check all your details and upload the application.
- Pay the application fees of 4200 INR to initiate the processing of your visa.
- Your visa will take up to 3 working days to process and get approved.
Required Documents:
- You will need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after date of arrival.
- Photo as per specifications.
- Confirmed flight tickets.
- Proof of sufficient funds (bank statements, etc)
Photo Specifications:
- The photo that you are planning to submit should be coloured and the size should be 35 mm x 45 mm.
- It should be in JPEG format.
- Your face should be covering 70-80% of the frame and you head should be well centred.
- The background of your photograph should be white and your clothing should not match the background.
- The photo must be recently taken not older than 6 months.
- Your expression should be neutral.
- Your eyes must not be covered by your hair or any other eyewear expect for prescription glasses. Eyes should be clearly visible through glasses.
- No headgear except for religious reasons.
Validity of visa:
For a single entry tourist visa for Madagascar, the validity of visa is 3 months. Which means that you can travel to Madagascar within those 3 months after receiving the e-visa. Whereas, your duration of stay in Madagascar can only be up to 30 days.
