Type of visa:
Botswana offers E-visa to foreigners. This electronic visa is issued beforehand unlike a visa- on-arrival that needs to be stamped on your passport once you arrive.
Application process:
- Start your Botswana travel visa application by clicking on this link. Start a new application.
- Fill out your personal details, passport details and details about your trip.
- Pay the application fees. For a single entry the fees is 300 Botswana Pula which is approximately 1,858 INR.
- Complete the visa application and upload all the requied documents mentioned below.
- All supporting documents must be in English and uploaded as ONE Pdf file not bigger than 5Mb in size.
- After submitting your application it will take a couple business days for the application to go through the approval process.
- Once your visa is approved you will receive it on your email.
Required documents:
- A passport that if valid for 6 months after date of arrival in Botswana and the passport must have at least 3 empty pages.
- Recently taken photo matching requirements mentioned below.
- Tour plan or copy of travel schedule
- Flight bookings
- Confirmation of bookings at hotel/lodges
- Confirmed return ticket.
- VISA/MasterCard for payment. The card must be enabled for online and international payment.
Photo requirements:
- The image should be a coloured image.
- The size should be 28mm x 36 mm
- The size of the document should be less than or equal to 30 KB
- The file should be in JPG documents
- Face should cover 70-80% of the image
- Background of the photo should be white
- Your clothes shouldn’t match the background
Validity of Botswana Travel Visa:
The validity of the tourist visa to Botswana is 3 months. Which means that you can travel to Botswana within 3 months after your visa is issued.

Victoria Falls

Ntwetwe Pan
The Ntwetwe Pan is a large salt pan within the Makgadikgadi region of Botswana. An area of grassland full of smaller pans and the Boteti River on its western edge. It’s mainly visited for the wildlife, isolation, and to marvel at the zebra migration which happens when the seasons change.
Kolobeng Mission
The Kolobeng Mission Monument is located near the Botswana village of Letlhakane in the Central District of the country. It commemorates the visit of Christian missionaries Rev. The monument stands in a landscaped garden that includes native plants, sitting areas and walkways.
